Great product but not for open office environments : iHome Desk Lamp with Surround Sound Speakers and iPod/mp3 dock, Black
This is a great product with one major weakness. The controls are not sensitive enough to keep the volume to a reasonably low level. This is fine for most home applications but if you want to put it on your cubicle desk in an open office, it will definitely bother your neighbors. I work in a fairly loud office but even at the lowest possible volume, I can hear it clearly from over 20 feet away. Adjusting the volume our loudness level on your iPod doesn't make any difference. Unless everyone in your office likes the same music you do this can be a problem.
That being said the sound on this unit is great, the controls are easy to use, the light works very well, and the remote is wonderful.
